We love a good checklist. But when you're living with chronic illness, even the most basic to-do list can feel like a mountain climb in slippers.
So some days? This is the list:
✅ Rest
✅ Survive
✅ World domination (optional)
Because the truth is, rest is productive.Survival is heroic. And world domination? Well… that can wait ‘til tomorrow.
Redefining Productivity
Somewhere along the way, we got sold a lie: that we are only as valuable as what we produce.
But your worth is not measured in tasks completed or hours hustled.
Some days, thriving looks like getting dressed and checking your emails.Other days, it’s wrapped in a fuzzy robe with a book in one hand and tea in the other.
Both are valid. Both are strong. Both are enough.
The Power of Intentional Rest
Rest is not laziness. It’s strategy.
It’s the holy pause that lets us recharge our souls and quiet the noise of not-enoughness.It’s how we gather strength for the things that truly matter—like healing, showing up for our people, and remembering who we are outside of our symptoms.
And if world domination is on your list, let it come from overflow, not burnout.
You Don’t Need to Earn a Break
If you're resting today, you don’t need to justify it.Not to your boss. Not to your inner critic. Not to anyone.
You are allowed to be tired and worthy at the same time. You are allowed to rest without crossing everything off the list.
Sometimes, the list is the rest.
So curl up. Breathe deep. Reclaim your softness. And know this: surviving is its own kind of success.
